Our Mission

100% OF EVERY DONATION GOES DIRECTLY TO SCOFIELD ORPHANAGE .

Our History

We are so delighted to to share our vision and the service that God bestored in our hearts to serve His people. I am Rev. Dr. Ben Leonards Okello from Kenya. I served as a teacher, and administrator thereafter God called me into a full time ministry. In 1997, I attended a missionary training course at Equip International in Marion, North Carolina under the leadership of the able president Rev. Barry Flitcroft. On completion of the training, the president and his wife Tilly took me to several churches to raise support. On one occasion they took me a presbyterian church in Black mountain in North Carolina to make a presentation. A month later, Don and Gwen Scofield started supporting me, a gift which was precious to me and the entire ministry that I was going to start.

In 1998, they asked me what I wanted to do in the service for the Lord. I told them that I had a burden of reaching the unreached people with the word of God and also helping the vulnerable children. It came a time that I was moving to go and plant a church whereby I saw six children fighting over food in the garbage can, I reached out to them and asked if they could go with me to our home, of which they accepted, I told mama Emily that I was bringing strangers to our home who I had found eating garbage, with an open heart she accepted them. These are the children whose parents had died of AIDS and tribal clashes, since then we have adapted 121 children who have undergone such circumstances, 41 of who are in different universities and colleges in kenya, these children have adapted to christianity and are also spreading the word of God.They are from different communities and tribes, our aim is to bring Kenya together in unity. Thank you for your payers and support.
